Best Education Websites: Top Educational Websites from Preschool through High School Students

Hands down, if you ask my three year old what her favorite website is she will say nickjr - formerly called Noggin. My dad actually introduced her to this site about a year ago and she caught on remarkably fast. We all sat around watching a two year old use a mouse and navigate the site with more ease than most baby boomers. From a parent's view, the site has a lot of educational merit. There are games dealing with memory, phonics, vocabulary, numbers, letters, rhyming, basic math, patterns, and stories. She also likes the disney site, but I don't think it's as educational.

Strategies for Practice
Many of my special needs students require extra practice to learn material from the regular classroom. Some of my students need a a model, or a prompt to stay on task. Some may need auditory or visual instruction. Some may need a self paced lesson. Others may need an alternative reading source. The websites can provide an efficient way to organize student work and progress. There are numerous and valid reasons to use websites to fit the learning profile of special needs students.
Srinivasan, In short, an aspirator is like a tube with three openings, one in the top one in the bottom and one on the side somewhere midway. The tube gets narrower from top to bottom, water or steam is flowed through the tube. As the tube narrows the speed of the gas or liquid increases, but the pressure decreases cause of the venturi effect. This is used to create vacuum. The vacuum hose is connected in that opening in the middle(usually a T). This vacuum created can be used for several purposes like drying, filtering etc. This is a commonly used technique in a chemistry or biology lab. Hope this helps!
