A Great Clog
The Dansko Professional is Dansko's flagship style. I think I am on my sixth pair. I know this is a bit boring, but it is such a comfortable shoe to just slip on your foot. Being a mom, it's so much easier to just step into a shoe or flip-flop. During the summer, you will mostly find me in flip-flops, but now that the weather is changing, it's my Dansko Professionals.
You can buy them at most clog shops, Nordstroms or walking stores. I just bought my new pair from Nordstrom. I like Nordstrom because of their great return policy. I have had a problem once with my Dansko Professionals: the heel support came out, and the store that I bought them from made a big stink about replacing them. I know this won't happen at Nordstrom. The catch: they're not cheap, about $120 including tax. But, for a shoe that I wear almost everyday, and I'm on my feet a lot (except when writing hubs ;)) it's worth it. You can find them cheaper on eBay. I have provided the feed below.
One more tip, if you try on a pair and they don't feel right across the top of your foot but the size in length fits, try on another pair of the same size. The shoes can vary even when they are the same size. I usually try on three pairs all of the same size and pick the most comfortable.
Dansko Description
The professional has an anatomically contoured arch support and slightly raised heel. Many doctors and nurses wear these shoes because of their comfort. The raised heel puts less pressure on the calf, hamstring and back muscles. The shoe is made with easy-care leather and non-allergic leather sock lining. When walking, the shoe should slip a bit at the heel but should be snug around the toe. The leather will stretch to fit your foot. More in-depth technical features can be found here.

My favorite clogs are Haflinger. My entire family use them for house shoes. We wear the pattern with an outdoor sole. I have them on as I write this.

Have a pair of this , very comfortable shoes ! Got them is a gif. But the sole crack wide open, don't know how to eschange them , have no recipe and don't know the store. Can somebody help me!!
Nice hub!!! Reading you Hub brought back memories of when I got my first pair of Dansko's. The other nurses chipped and brought them for me as a Christmas gift 2 years ago. At that time I couldn't justify spending over $100 on a pair of work shoes. Now I own 3 pair and it's money well spent.

I love clogs - they're great on a rainy wet day - but have never tried the ones with backs, always the open backed but these look so much better for cold weather.
GREAT Hub Dearest Robin!! I have worn Dansko clogs for years and have many pairs!! I don't know what I, or my feet, would do without them!! Sarahd, as Robin shows above, many of the clog styles also come with backs so they won't fall off as easily!! Plus, Dansko guarantees ALL their shoes so if you friend has a few pairs that don't fit so well, they will take them back and send her new ones!! It's a great company!! I wear the leather ones and polish them with Vaseline!! Blessings, Earth Angel!!
I second the praise for this utilitarian and comfortable shoe. I am only on my first pair but they are very durable, good for gardening and almost as tough as a pair of steel toed boots. Wearing clogs takes a bit of getting used to...mostly the slipping of your heel in and out and all...but you will never go back.
My friend who recommended these shoes to me has had many pairs and she also experienced a few that didnt fit so well even though they were the same size as ususal.

I have never tried on a pair of Dansko Clogs but after reading this hub, will have to give them a try. Nordstroms is a great store. They give great service and actually started out as a shoe store before expanding into carrying clothing and other things. Thanks!
