The Portable North Pole - PNP: A Personalized Video Message from Santa

Get a Free Message from Santa
The Portable North Pole, also known as the PNP, website is a great experience for kids. It sends a personalized message to your inbox from Santa that includes a video with information that you have uploaded to the site. Our girls were so excited to get the personalized message, they could hardly stand it! Here's how it works!
How do I get a personalized message from Santa?
- Go to the PNPand prepare a new message.
- The site gives you the choice of choosing a message for a toddler, children, or grown-ups.
- Click on the appropriate sized gingerbread man to get started.
- Older children are taken to different parts of the North Pole before Santa goes back to his shop.
- Younger children have a shorter, more concise video.
- The next screen allows you to enter information about the child you are making the message for: child's name, eye color, hair color, etc.
- If this is their first PNP message, Santa will welcome them.
- Click "enter"
- Next, answer a few questions about the child you are sending the message to.
- Santa will include this information in what he says to them. E.g., it sounds like you have worked really hard this year saying please and thank you. Remember, to always listen to your parents.
- This is where the fun begins! Add photos of your child and special events that have occurred this year.
- Santa will have a special book that he looks into with pictures of your child. He will have a picture and descriptors next to it, hair color, eye color, favorite food, etc.
- Then, there will be a section with special things that have happened this year. My sister just had a baby, so in my niece's video I added a picture with her and her sister. Santa mentioned a new addition in her family.
- These personal touches make the video very realistic.
- Your next step for the video is to tell Santa what your child wants for Christmas.
- You can even add photos of what they are going to get.
- Categorize the gift and click "next".
- This information will also be shown in his special book.
- Lastly, tell Santa where your child lives.
- He will look at his map and point to it. This demonstrates that he knows where to visit on Christmas Eve.
- This step will also ask you personal information, like where to send the email from Santa.
- It's really great getting the email, especially because it says it's from Santa on the email.
- There is one more step that confirms your information and allows you to edit, if need be. Click on the pencil icon to edit your information.
- You can now preview the video that will be sent. You can also copy the link to send out to others.

Have you visited the PNP? What did your child think?
Robin-
This is great! I remember when we were little Santa had left a letter on the computer screen in a word document. I can only imagine the excitement this sort of thing brings to children!
Hi Alissa,
We did it last year and I'm going to do it again. Our girls loved it! It's a really fun site! Thanks for reading. ;)
A couple of days ago I found this website and made both of my boys a message from Santa. I am super excited to show it to them. So happy you wrote a hub about this to let others know about it! Voted up, useful & awesome! Happy Holidays :)
Great walk-thru! I think it's back up too. Try the emailsanta.com one too -- you can do it together with the kids. Kind of fun that way.
I have done this for my kids in the past and they were ecstatic, I included a link to your hub on mine, "How to Write a Letter to Santa", hope that's ok?

My little girl loved this, so engrossed. Another great website for that time of year is "Elf Yourself". Great fun!
Christman and Santa Claus is such a wonderful world. I wish I could turn the clocks back.
That will be a great addition for my son's christmas gift. I am very much sure that he will be very thrilled to recive a e-mail from santa because he belives in santa. Thank's robin for that excellent idea.
This is THE coolest thing - can't wait to send them to friends and family! Hehee!!
I forgot to mention that you could post to Facebook, Kimh! Thanks for including that!
What a great hub, Robin. Thanks for sharing the info, and the screen shots.
