Opening Day at Disneyland

www.disneyland.com

Disneyland Amusement Park, also known as The Magic Kingdom and one of the most famous places on Earth, is located in Anaheim, California next to Disney's California Adventure Park. www disneyland.com is its official homepage. Disneyland opened to the public on July 17, 1955 and has since had over 515 million patrons.

Walt Disney and his brother, Roy Disney, dreamed of a permanent family fun park unlike the roaming carnivals of the day. Walt Disney's original concept was a Mickey Mouse Park that grew into an idea that is today comprised of eight distinct "lands". At the end of Walt Disney's life he dreamed even bigger and started work on Disney World.

See below for my review of www disneyland com.

If you're interested in other theme parks: Sea World, Six Flags or Disneyworld, I wrote a few articles about them too; or check out Disney Parks, Disneyland Hotel, Disney on Ice, Disney Cruises, and Playhouse Disney. Thanks for reading!

"To all who come to this happy place – welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, dreams and the hard facts that have created America… with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world."

Walter E. Disney, July 17, 1955

The Many "Lands" of Disneyland

Main Street, U.S.A, everyone's hometown as Walt Disney liked to say, welcomes you to the magical world of Disneyland. Walt Disney loved trains and The Disneyland Railroad is the first ride you see when entering Disneyland. The Railroad was open on the first day the park opened, July 17, 1955. The train can take you on a 1.5 mile loop through Frontierland, Toontown and Tomorrowland.

Hi - We just returned home to Dubbo NSW Australia after taking our 12 & 10 year old boys on their first Disneyland experience. We were there from 13 - 18 November 2010. It has only improved since my last trip some 16 years ago. I now have been there 5 times my wife twice. We will be back in a few more years when the boys are older.

Love the place.

Bad experience 6 rides not working. Brought out of town guest. Waited in line forever only to have the ride breakdown right before out turn. Fast passes gone by 3pm. Rides we did not get on because they broke down you'd think everyone who was in line would get a fast pass to come back...but no......it was terrible.
